Chris has always been one of my favorite surfers to watch and shoot. This year we all were bunked up at the Beschen compound and were surfing 24/7. I remember Reno being around a bunch and giving Chris this board to ride. It was a 6'1'' pintail and the rails were really foiled out. He rode this board from Sunset to Haliewa and anywhere else that was ridable. Here is Chris in the moment riding a board shaped by a revolutionary of our sport. Photo: Patrick Eichstaedt
I cut my teeth in the surf game years ago by sitting on the beach for hours video taping a young Andy Irons and Cory Lopez charge Log Cabins. You may have also seen me on the wrong side of the camera in “The Decline” and “5’5″ Redux.”
I was born in Miami, Florida, in 1974 and moved to New Smyrna Beach in 1976. I began working with …Lost and through opportunities there, I have imagery published all over the globe. Family, health and friends are most important to me, and my school was traveling and listening to others–The School of Trial and Error.
