Jamie O’Brien has surfed a lot of crazy days in a lot of crazy places. He watches swells from all over the world, and when it becomes apparent that one of those swells is going to make landfall in a particular place from a particularly good direction, he has no problem pulling the trigger on a last-minute flight.
One such swell that recently lit up the whole world was the Code Red 2 swell. The Wedge, Teahupo’o, and most notably Maui’s Freight Trains went next level, but so too did Mexico. And of course, Jamie O’Brien found himself in the right place at the right time to make the most of it.
